It is the collaboration between Pierre Cherbéro, a great lover of world music, Tom Waits and the piano bar tradition, and Julien Dubois, Blues bassist and videographer-documentarist, very present on the Nantes and Mexican scene, which gives this special color. Everyone has already made the round trip several times to Louisiana. They met to play together on many occasions, notably in Peyotl (psyche rock) in the 2000s, and with Ms Nickki and the Memphis Soul Connection (soul r'n'b) for European tours. The cocktail is explosive. The warm and rocky tone of voice mixed with the groove of BabyFace Dubois' bass work perfectly. They share the same passion for the Crescent City and its artists like Monk Boudreaux, Allen Toussaint, Harry Connick Jr., Dr John, Trombone Shorty or Jon Cleary. "(...) it sounds like hell, it's mind-blowing, normal with a hurricane, as for the turtle, we surprise it performing a few hareful sprints. The vintage sound of the Hammond organ, the fever of the brass, the powerful rhythm carry the voice of Pierre Cherbero, the Grand Marshall of the funk fanfare "Brass under influence". We follow the Funky Turtle in his peregrinations in New Orleans, in Hong Kong under "Umbrellas" (very successful Chinese arrangements and all the arrangements in general), we dance the boogie-woogie with her on “Forty Years Old Sis'”, we embark nonchalantly on “HT Airlines Blues” to end up sinking and swirling in “The Eye of Katrina” (.. .)"
